Each year in September, Wilfrid Laurier University, in conjunction with the University of Waterloo, University of Guelph and Conestoga College, sponsors the largest Career Fair in the country. Student and alumni attendance is approximately 2500 - 3000. This event gives employers an opportunity to:
promote their organization to future employees
meet their recruiting needs
provide career information to students and alumni
reduce their time, effort and recruitment costs by contacting students and alumni from four post-secondary institutions on the same day in one location.
Again, in early February, the four post-secondary institutions sponsor Job Fair to give employers an opportunity to meet their recruiting needs for full-time, summer, co-op, contract and part-time positions. Employers are required to have employment opportunities within 6 months of Job Fair. Approximately 3500 - 4000 students/alumni attend this event.
