Promoting Your Organization

There are many ways to promote your organization to ensure you have a ‘presence’ on campus:


Featured Job Posting

A featured job posting allows you to upload your organization's logo and highlights your employment opportunity on the student/alumni job posting search page in Navigator. The featured job posting fee is $50 + HST per position. For more information, please click here.


Posters/Flyers

Employers are welcome to provide posters to promote your organization in the Career Centre. We will post one poster in our Resource Centre and a few on campus on the Career Centre bulletin boards. Employers interested in posting advertising materials elsewhere on campus are required to have the posters stamped by the Career Centre and the Dean of Students’ Office and are responsible for posting them on campus (Dean of Students’ Office Poster Policy). Due to the volume of advertising, the Career Centre is unable to place posters on campus beyond our bulletin boards.

Student Newspapers – The Cord (Waterloo Campus) and The Sputnik (Brantford Campus)

The Cord (Waterloo campus) and The Sputnik (Brantford campus) are Laurier’s student newspapers, published on Wednesdays. Advertising rates are available to view at www.wlusp.com.


Other Student Publications

Wilfrid Laurier University Student Publications (WLUSP) also publishes 2 student handbooks (The WLU’er for the Waterloo campus and The Orbiter for the Brantford campus), Laurier's yearbooks and Blueprint Magazine (4 issues per year).

Display Table

Employers are able to reserve space in high-traffic areas on campus through the Career Centre. Space is limited due to high demand; please contact us up to approximately two months in advance of desired date(s). If you are interested in reserving display space for Graduating Student Employment opportunities, please contact Louise Boulanger. If you are interested in reserving display space for Summer/Part-time Employment opportunities, please contact Karen Everett.


Career Fair/Job Fair

Each year in September and February, Wilfrid Laurier University, in conjunction with the University of Waterloo, University of Guelph and Conestoga College, sponsors the largest Career Fair/Job Fair in the country. Student and alumni attendance is approximately 2500 - 4000. Please click here for more information.
