Attend this speaker panel event for a unique opportunity to gain advice from professionals in various fields, make connections to build your professional network, and learn about career options you may not have previously considered.
The event consists of a panel of alumni and industry professionals representing various roles. Panelists will each share their career paths and details about their current position, address the challenges and rewards of their career, and answer student questions. You will also have the opportunity to connect with panelists one-on-one after the session.

- Justin Krulicki, Human Resources Manager, OCTOPUZ Inc., BA History '13
- After completing a Bachelors of Arts at Laurier, Justin pursued a post-graduate diploma from Conestoga College in human resources management. From there, Justin took on a newly created role as Human Resources Specialist at the largest organic vegetable farm in Canada, located in New Hamburg. Justin grew that position and his career for two-and-a-half years before joining OCTOPUZ Inc. in Waterloo. OCTOPUZ is a scaling start-up that develops software for robots. His role was initially the Human Resources Assistant, however that transitioned into the Human Resources Manager which Justin has been in for the last eight months. In his role he takes on all things HR with a strong emphasis on recruitment at the moment as the organizations continues with strong growth.

- Michelle Jutzi, Strategic Recruitment Consultant, Wilfrid Laurier University, BA Sociology and Political Science '09
- Michelle is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) who specializes in employer branding and talent acquisition. With experience working in agency, municipal and post-secondary environments, Michelle has focused her career on developing strategic and innovative ways to connect employers with talent. She interested in and inspired by creative approaches to recruitment, onboarding and training.

- Sheila Blake, Senior Human Resource Manager, Riverside Brass & Aluminum Foundry Limited
- After studying Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University, Sheila attended Conestoga College to complete all the required courses for HR Management and obtain her CHRP. Sheila has owned her own business, which has provided her with a wealth of knowledge that ultimately led her into the Human Resource Management field. Sheila's current role as Senior HR Manager at Riverside Brass & Aluminum Foundry involves advising on a broad range of employment and labour law issues, including employment contracts, workplace policies, performance management, employment standards legislative compliance, occupational health and safety, labour relations, collect bargaining and union grievances. Throughout Sheila's 20+ years in HR, she has volunteered to be the PMG Lead for New HR Professionals and is the new Director of Membership and Students on the board of the HRPA Grand Valley Chapter.

- Leanna Sun, Territory Marketing Specialist, Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA)
- Leanna will be delivering a short presentation on the Human Resources Professional Association and sharing information about student memberships.
- Leigh Farlow, Practice Leader (Executive Recruitment), Artemis Canada, MBA '14 (no longer able to attend as of March 13)
- Leigh's background is in Marketing and Account Management, and after completing her BBA at Acadia University in Nova Scotia she spent 4 years working with a leading Toronto-based global advertising agency, DDB Canada. She previously got her first taste of the tech sector working at Communitech during a summer co-op, and decided to return to Waterloo Region to join the tech industry again. After completing her MBA at the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics in 2014, she joined Artemis Canada, an executive search firm, to blend her business background with her desire to help tech companies solve their biggest challenge: finding the right talent.
