Adilya Kanyazova, Associate, Capital Markets, RBC
BBA '14, Wilfrid Laurier University
Country of Origin: Russia

  • Adilya Kanyazova is a finance professional with experience in capital markets, risk management and institutional investment marketplace. She currently works as an Associate within Global Credit at RBC. Prior to this role, Adilya was a Consultant at a pension consulting firm. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Wilfrid Laurier University where she specialized in finance. In addition, Adilya is also a CFA charterholder. 

Santiago Pombo Rey, Manager, International - CPP Investments
Honours BBA '15 (with Finance Designation), Wilfrid Laurier University
Country of Origin: Honduras
  • Santiago Pombo is currently a Manager in Relationship Management within the International department of Canada Pension Plan Investments ("CPP Investments"). Prior to this role, Santiago was an Associate with the Strategy and Operations Group with the Capital Markets and factor Investing group of the CPP Investments. Santiago graduated with an Honours of Business Administration ("BBA") with Finance distinction from the Schlegel School of Business at Wilfrid Laurier University in 2015. During his time in university, Santiago was part of the co-op program where he was able to intern for companies such as TD Bank, CGI, and CPP Investments. Santiago was an active member (tutor) of the Math Assistance Centre within the Science Faculty of Wilfrid Laurier and a Residence Life Don in 2013. Santiago was born in Honduras and emigrated to Canada in 2011 after being a recipient of the Wilfrid Laurier Centennial Scholarship. Santiago is now a few months from becoming a Canadian citizen!

Anika Rahman, Quality Control Account Manager, Q&R Canada Inc. 
HBSc '12 (Biology and Chemistry), Wilfrid Laurier University

  • Anika Rahman fell accidentally in the Quality department and ever since then has had a steady upward trajectory in this field. She started as a QC working on the floor, to QA associate, then QA specialist and now as QA manager. Anika has worked in food manufacturing, importing NHPs, 3PL in medical devices, NHP, Drugs and Narcotics and have worked with clients small and large. She is happy to answer any questions and help out in career advice if needed.
Xueying (Alison) Xu, Senior International Recruitment Manager, ApplyBoard
BBA '17 (Minor in Economics), Wilfrid Laurier University
Country of Origin: China
  • Alison Xu came to Canada for university in 2013, and graduated from Laurier BBA (minor in Economics) in 2017. She had worked in an insurance and finance company for a two-year internship and one-year full-time. She joined ApplyBoard in 2018 as an International Recruitment Manager.
