Graduating in 2025 and looking to start full-time work after you complete your studies at Laurier?
Attend this session to learn how the Career Centre connects final-year students to employers through the Graduating Student Employment Service (GSES).
The program attracts top employers looking to recruit final-year students (undergraduate and graduate students) for full-time positions that start after graduation. Employers have already started posting opportunities, with many recruitment activities taking place early Fall.
FAQs
- Full-time employment opportunities targeting students in their final year of studies at Laurier.
- Opportunities to network with employers through recruiting/information sessions and job fairs.
- Career Centre supports and resources including career planning, job search and application support, further education planning and application assistance and more!
GSES launches in August 2024 and continues through to June 2025; however, employers may begin posting jobs as early as this coming July for positions that start no earlier than spring/summer 2025.
Do I need to register for the GSES program?
No, students in their final year of study are automatically registered in the GSES program by early August. You will know that you have been successfully registered because you will see a new position type search option in Navigator called 'Graduating Student (GSES)'. You will also start to receive the GSES newsletter by email in late August. Contact the Career Centre if you are concerned that you have not been registered properly.
I don't see jobs I am interested in, what should I do?
Keep checking Navigator as positions are added daily. We work with employers representing almost every employment sector in Canada (for-profit and not-for-profit) but cannot predict when a particular employer may post with us.
You can also book an appointment with a Career Consultant for individualized support to discuss specific roles/industries of interest.
