If you feel a co-op student merits special attention, please consider nominating him or her for the Equitable Life of Canada Student of the Year Award, which recognizes outstanding students in the co-operative education program at Wilfrid Laurier University.
Nominees are evaluated on their job and academic achievement, contribution to co-operative education and involvement in extracurricular activities at school and/or in the community at large.
Please let your co-op coordinator know the name of the student you wish to nominate, or send a message to email@example.com. The Co-op Office will complete the nomination form, assist with the institution letter and biography, and ask the student to prepare his or her supporting documents.
The candidate selected as Equitable Life of Canada Student of the Year will receive $500, and the employer will be mentioned in a press release.
The Co-op Office will also send the winner's nomination package to the Co-operative Education and Work-Integrated Learning Canada (CEWIL) in application for a national award. The winners of the CEWIL Co-op Student of the Year Award, along with their institutions and employers, will receive national recognition and each winning student will receive a CEWIL award of $500 and the Emery-Dufault award of $500.
