This section outlines the variety of technological platforms used by Laurier to support ease of access and record management.  These include:

Navigator is a centralized web-based database used by Experiential Learning & Career Development at Laurier and the Faculty of Social Work to post experiential opportunities and jobs. It also houses the Laurier Experience Record. This technology system provides a 'one stop shop' where students can access information, employers can post opportunities and staff or faculty can manage programs. Navigator is Laurier's installation of Orbis Communications' Outcome Platform

Volunteer Posting Portal

Employers can advertise volunteer opportunities directly to Laurier students and alumni using the 'Volunteer Postings' feature in the Navigator database.

Volunteer Action Centre's Live Feed of Volunteer Opportunities

To make posting on Navigator even easier for employers, Laurier and the Volunteer Action Centre, Waterloo Region, have collaborated to develop a feature which allows employers to share their volunteer postings from the Volunteer Action Centre (VAC) to Laurier's 'Volunteer Postings' portal on Navigator with the click of a button.

Laurier Experience Record

The Laurier Experience Record is a comprehensive record for students of their involvement in curricular and co-curricular experiential learning at Laurier. Students add experiences, reflect on their learning, identify competencies developed and prepare for their future.

  • Certificates/programs: Non-credit certificates and workshop series
